The Tons river drains the Har ki Dun Valley
and is the largest tributary of the Yamuna.
THE MHE camp enjoys an exclusive location just
2 Kms. beyond the Himalayan Hamlet of Mori.

How
to reach
The
route from Delhi would be: Delhi -
Dehradoon - Mussoorie (271 kms.) - Kempty Falls
- Yamuna Bridge - Nainbagh (41 kms) - Naugaon
(42 kms) - Purola (19 kms) - Mori (35 kms) -
MHE Tons River Camp (2 kms).
Total Distance from Delhi - 409 kms.
As
you reach Mori you would come to a road barrier
(Forest Dept.) From here continue straight ahead
towards Khoonigad you will find the MHE Tons
river camp on the right hand side after 2 kms
(please do not turn to the Mori village for
which there is a right turn at the barrier).
At a distance of 9 kms from the barrier towards
Khoonigad, you will see a Pine forest by the
riverside, amidst which is set the MHE Tons
Camp.
SAMPLE
Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: DELHI – CHAMBA
- Arrive
in time for lunch at the MHE Himalayan Camp,
Chamba. Check into your luxury tents. Afternoon
at leisure.
- Enjoy
a relaxing evening around the camp fire
before retiring for the day.
- Dinner
and overnight in camp.
Day
2: CHAMBA – MORI
- Post
breakfast drive to the MHE Tons river camp
via Mussoorie and Kempty Fall. Arrive at
the Tons camp in time for a late lunch.
- Afternoon
depart for a leisurely walk into the dense
alpine forests around the camp. If lucky
we will find small waterfalls and deep pools
of crystal clear water inviting you for
a cool dip and swim. Return to the camp
for evening tea and dinner.
- Dinner
and overnight in camp.
Day
3:MORI (Rafting)
- Morning
at hand to take on the challenging rapids
on the Tons. A 2 hours action packed run
on the first day is enough to get your adrenalin
rushing. Post lunch we try our hand at rock
climbing and rappelling and even our exciting
Burma Bridge and Zip Wire. Overnight in
the camp.
Day
4:MORI (Rafting)
- Morning
post breakfast we embark on our second leg
of rafting down the Tons. An exiting Grade
IV section which takes you to a new high
having already rafted on the first day.
- Post
lunch we go for a 2 hours scenic trek into
the forest and return to the camp for a
game of volley ball. Overnight in Camp.
Day
5: MORI – DEHRADOON - DELHI
- Post
breakfast we depart for Dehradoon via Mussoorie.
On arrival in Dehradoon one can either drive
on to Delhi or board the Shatabdi Express
back to Delhi.
