Tour Costs

Cost Includes

  • 30 nights accommodation in tents at the base camp and hotel or guest houses enroute to the base camp and in Delhi.
  • Arrival and departure transfers from International Airport to the Indian Mountaineering Foundation. (Your Delhi Accommodation)
  • All transportation from Delhi to road head and back in Non air-conditioned deluxe coaches.
  • IMF Peak Booking fees.
  • One IMF Laison Officer per peak.
  • IMF Environment Fees.
  • International and Indian Instructors.
  • Tents and Mattresses.
  • High altitude fuel and food.
  • All meals in Delhi, enroute and at the camps.
  • Fixed Rope and Ladders.
  • 1 ½ weeks training camp.
  • 3 ½ weeks supervised climbing expeditions to three Septemberarate peaks.
  • Porters / Ponies for camp equipment till base camp.
  • High Altitude Porters for the expedition from base camp and beyond.
  • A medical team with Hyperbaric chamber (Gammow Bag) and Oxygen cylinders at base camp.
  • Wireless contact with the closest Army / Paramilitary base.
  • Tie up for Air Evacuation.

Cost Excludes

  • Any international air fare for participants.
  • Any personal gear like sleeping bags, harnesses, carabiners, jumars, crampons, pitons, Ice Axes and high altitude gear.
  • International travel, accident and evacuation Insurance
  • Any expenses of personal nature like tips, laundry, phone calls beverages etc.

Note : 4.08% Government service tax will be extra on total billing amount.

Climbing Expedition Highlights

INSTRUCTORS
Apart from Indian instructors we offer free land arrangements for one instructor per four paying climbers. All instructors will have to provide us with a detailed resume of their climbing achievements.

HIGH ALTITUDE EQUIPMENT
We supply high altitude food, tents and burners. High Altitude Porters are used to ferry loads. All participants are required to bring their own personal gear like harnesses, shoes, carabiners, jumpers etc.

INSURANCE
It is mandatory for all participants and instructors to buy International Travel Insurance which must cover Emergency Air Evacuation. We require Personal insurance details before your arrival in India to process your application.

CERTIFICATE
All participants and instructors will be given UIAA certificates after completion of the course.

ROUTING
Delhi - Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Chirbasa - Gaumukh - Tapovan - Nandanvan Base Camp - Climb

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

  • September 11: Arrive Delhi. Overnight at hotel.
  • September 12: Meet director of Indian Mountaineering Foundation, Introduction to the Indian Himalayas by Col. N. Kumar,\. Finish official paperwork for the expedition.
  • September 13: Delhi –Uttarkashi. Over night stay at Nehru Institute of Mountaineering
  • September 14: Uttarkashi
  • September 15: Uttarkashi drive to Gangotri and trek to Bhojbasa.
  • September 16: Bhojbasa – Chirbasa
  • September 17: Chirbasa – Tapovan
  • September 18: Tapovan – Nandanvan ( Base Camp)
  • September 19 to 25: Acclimatization & Training
  • September 26 to October 04: Satopanth Peak Climbing
  • October 5: Return Trek to Tapovan
  • October 6: Trek to Bhojbasa
  • October 7: Trek to Gangotri and drive to Uttarkashi
  • October 8: Drive to Rishikesh
  • October 9: Drive to Delhi
  • October 10: Delhi
  • October 11: Depart Delhi
