Manali Pass Excursion Trek


Day 01: MANALI – GOSHAL – JOGNI FALL – VASHISHAT – MANALI

Acclimatisation day to walk around the villages, temples, shrines and witness the ManaliPass local culture, tradition and way of life. You can opt to have a dip in hot sulphur springs at Vashishat village known after great sage Vashishatha, who lived and meditated here after he was rescued from his suicidal attempt in river Bipasha, the present day’s River Beas. Over night at Hotel.

Day 02 : MANALI – LAMBADUG (3380m)

The climb is through thick forests but there is no water point after departing from Manali. As one gains height in this steep climb, the distinct views of different faces of Indrasan, Deo Tibba and peaks of Bara Shigri glacier open up. In the last lag, the path turns to the right and one traverses the ridge horizontally and enters the campsite on an alpine plateau studded with thick growth of alpine flowers.

Day 03: LAMBADUG – RANISUI (4268m)

The height Himalaya Rhotanggain on this day is approximately 1 km. The trek is through steep a ridge below Thanpri Tibba (4000m). From this point, one can have a magnificent glimpse of Manali, situated on the left bank of River Beas and the whole upper Kullu valley, which appears swathed in the different colors of the season.

Day 04: RANISUI – RIYALI THATCH (4444m)

Today we shall trek up towards Manali pass, Manali Pass offers some great views of the higher peaks in the region – Indrasan, Deo Tibba and Hannuman Tibba. The campsite will depend upon the availability of water, as it depends upon the last snow fall and temperature variation to melt it in springs. If we are early at the camp site, we can walk on the glacier or towards Manali Pass next day.

Day 05 : RIYALI THATCH – RANISUI

Back trek day also offers nice views, the 360 degrees panorama of Peer Panjal, and Dhauladhar ranges of western Himalayas are breath taking.

Day 06 : RANISUI – BHOGI THACH

Today is an easy day but offering a great views of the Himalayas.  Rohtang Pass Mandi Gulaba and Solang Nala snow coveredWe would be camping on nice grassland where shepherds reach every summer with their cattle.

BHOGI THACH – KALATH – MANALI

Today is most of the day we are ascending down to the village below Manali called Kalath, very well known for its hot water spring.  On arrival drive to Manali.

The cost R 17600/-per person + 2.575% tax (group of 6 pax)

  • • 01 night budget hotel on CPAI in Manali
  • • All trekking arrangements with vegetarian meals and packed lunch.
  • • Cook cum guide, cook helpers and ponies to carry the luggage.
  • • Transport from the finish point to Manali Hotel.
