Permits and Procedures
Under the provisions of the Foreigners Act, no foreigner or group of foreigners shall climb or attempt to climb any mountain peak in India without obtaining the prior permission in writing of the Central Government on an application made in their behalf through the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF).
Government recognized adventure tour operators are affiliated with IMF on yearly basis to help foreign expedition teams by way of services required by them during the course of the expeditions in India. MHE is one such recognized adventure tour operator.
The permits, procedures and documentation involved in booking a peak and the expedition itself is quite a lot. MHE will assist you by doing all this cumbersome paperwork on your behalf.
MHE can also arrange for mountaineering equipment , tents, food horses, high altitude porters, cooks, laison officer, doctors etc if required by the team. Arrangements for rescue, even by helicopter can be arranged.
